Role of The Anchor

Any great news show has engaging and well-spoken Anchors. The role of the Anchor is critical on any news set because they deliver the story to you! Speaking clearly and delivering accurate information is important; their delivery helps set the tone of the show. For example, reporting a serious story and making jokes wouldn't be appropriate. This crucial part of anchoring also translates to writing stories. Part of an anchors job includes researching and writing for a show. However, they couldn't do it all alone: the Assignments Manager helps aid in this process.
